These finishes are suitable for both outdoor and indoor statuary. They are designed to withstand year-round outdoor weather conditions. The links below the thumbnails are provided so you may see the finishes on various statuary, vases, pedestals and urns. Please understand these finishes will vary from piece to piece. This is due to a number of factors including the lighting when the photo was taken, the amount of under cuts and grooves in the piece, and the age of the piece. Most finishes will darken some with age and become more sophisticated looking. These finishes are all hand applied by skilled artisans who use their professional judgment to make the piece look its best and age naturally.

Another factor in how a finish will look is its casting medium.

The Tuff Stone or modified gypsum is more porous and will absorb more of the finish and tend to look darker.

The fiberglass pieces are smoother and will look a bit lighter.

Fiber Stone is a mixture of sand and stones cast into the surface using terrazzo-like techniques. The surface is then sandblasted and chemically treated, followed by an acid stain to give the appearance of aged stone. Since it is reinforced with a fiberglass backing, it remains light-weight and less fragile than concrete.

Another consideration is if you would like to get a matching set, such as a statue and a pedestal, or a set of wall sculptures, then it is best to order them all at the same time. This way in production the artisan can balance all the pieces for a matched set. These pieces are all made to order and will take 4 to 5 weeks to receive.
