How to Choose a Finish
By far our most popular statuary finishes are the antique stone and white moss. Following is a list of finishes that certain types of statues seem to suit best.
For example the Venus statues, such as the Bathers, and the famous David statue work best in our antique stone or white moss finishes. These
classic statues were originally carved in white marble and tend to seem out of place and lose their elegance if done in other finishes. The
following is a generalized suggestion list only because as with any home decor project, everybody’s taste differs. Other factors are the location
and the backdrop surrounding the statue. For example, a piece that is white in color would wash out against a white wall
or backdrop. It is best to have some contrast with the piece and its surroundings. These are pieces of art and you
want them to stand out. As always, if you need additional help, please don’t hesitate

Metals
|
These finishes include Iron, Bronze, Green Bronze, and Copper finishes. These finishes look particularly well on indoor statuary such as busts, animal statues, vases and urns.
The metal finish represents a metal casting rather than a piece that was sculpted by an artisan. These pieces are usually smaller and are not life size.

Soot
|
The Soot finish gives a sculpture the look that the piece has a history. A prominent piece that has survived a fire perhaps? If only it could talk! The
